Flow at the Summit

This year the Web Summit took place between November 1st and 4th and was attended by over 70,000 participants from 160 countries, 2300 startups and over 900 speakers.

Lisbon has been the stage of websummit since 2016 and this year it had a greater importance for Flow, because we covered the event for the company AlgarveEvolution. Among all the speakers we had the privilege to attend and all the approaches and trends addressed in the market, Flow managed to position itself before its competitors taking advantage of the event to perform a rebranding of the brand and adopt its new market positioning.

It was at WebSummit that we launched Flow's new image, more innovative, humanized and with a new range of services. Our employees Eduardo, Miguel and Marlon were chosen to embrace this challenge that certainly left them with many experiences and memories:

Eduardo Raposo

"Web Summit was a very enriching experience both professionally and personally. The multiculturalism gathered around ideas and innovation carries a very own and contagious energy. Together with our partners from Algarve Evolution, we wish to have represented the Algarve in the best way in what concerns our business area. I look forward to the next edition, in the meantime, "Come flow with us".

Miguel Fragoso

"I participated in the Websummit in Lisbon as a filmmaker and it was an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to film the interviews at the Algarve Tec Hub Association during the event, connect with so many different people, gather inspiration and knowledge from the talks. The event was also a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends in technology and possible funding. Overall, I think the event was very enriching and was a great opportunity to connect with people and grow on a personal and professional level."

Marlon Duarte

"I met many people at the Websummit, and I found it very interesting. I had the pleasure of meeting people with different and very intelligent views on a wide variety of topics. What I learned most from the Websummit is that in recent years there has been more focus on the importance of design in technology. This is because speed and efficiency are increasingly valued over the holistic needs of the individual, and a more human-centered design approach is being used. The talks I attended focused on cases of designers and executives who put real people at the center of the development process, and who use design to improve technology, but also on the people who experience the technologies we use every day. They will definitely be concepts and insights that have contributed to my knowledge."
